Polenta Chips
Polenta chips are a crunchy and tasty alternative to classic fries. Made from cooked polenta and baked until golden, they are crisp on the outside and soft inside. Perfect as a snack, appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
- 250 g instant polenta
- 1 L water
- 10 g salt
- 30 ml extra virgin olive oil
- Black pepper to taste
- Paprika or herbs optional
How to Make It
- Bring water to a boil with salt
- Pour in polenta slowly while stirring
- Cook according to package instructions until thick
- Spread polenta onto a lined tray about 1 cm thick
- Let cool completely until firm
- Cut into sticks
- Place on a baking tray
- Drizzle with olive oil
- Season with pepper and optional spices
- Bake at 200°C for about 25 minutes
- Turn halfway through cooking
- Bake until golden and crispy

- Let polenta cool completely before cutting
- Spread evenly for uniform chips
- Add rosemary or parmesan for extra flavor
- Bake on a hot tray for extra crispiness
Storage
- Best eaten fresh
- Can be reheated in the oven
- Not suitable for freezing
