About This Dish

This pistachio tiramisu is a modern twist on the classic Italian dessert. Combining the nutty richness of pistachios with creamy mascarpone and soft ladyfingers, it’s an indulgent, no-bake dessert that requires minimal effort but delivers maximum flavor.

Ingredients

For the Cream
Thickened Cream: 400 ml
Icing Sugar: 1 tbsp
Mascarpone: 250 g
Pistachio Spread: 150 g
For the Base
Savoiardi (Ladyfingers): 200 g
Milk: 250 ml
Coffee: 1 shot
Dark Cocoa Powder: 1 tbsp
To Garnish
Cocoa Powder: For dusting
Chopped Pistachios: As desired

How to Make It

Prep Time: 20 mins | Chill Time: 2 hrs | Total Time: 2 hrs 20 mins

  • Step 1: Whip thickened cream with icing sugar until soft peaks form. Gently fold in mascarpone and pistachio spread to create a smooth cream.
  • Step 2: In a shallow dish, mix milk, coffee, and cocoa powder. Briefly dip each savoiardo into the mixture — do not soak.
  • Step 3: In a serving dish, layer dipped savoiardi at the bottom. Spread a layer of pistachio cream on top.
  • Step 4: Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cream.
  • Step 5: Chill for at least 2 hours. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder and sprinkle with chopped pistachios.

Tucci’s Tips

Don’t over-soak the biscuits — they should stay slightly firm.
Use high-quality pistachio spread for the best flavor.
Chill overnight for even better texture and taste.

Variations

  • Chocolate Lover’s Twist: Add a layer of melted dark chocolate between cream layers.
  • Liquor Kick: Mix a splash of pistachio liqueur or amaretto into the coffee dip for an adult version.
  • No Coffee: Replace coffee with pistachio milk for a caffeine-free dessert.
