Fresh Tomato Basil Sauce

Ingredients
- 800 g ripe tomatoes
- 30 ml extra virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic clove
- Fresh basil
- Salt to taste
How to Make It
- Wash the tomatoes
- Score a cross on the base
- Blanch in boiling water briefly
- Remove skins and seeds
- Chop the tomato flesh
- Heat olive oil in a pan
- Add garlic and cook gently
- Add chopped tomatoes
- Season with salt
- Cook for about 20 minutes
- Add fresh basil at the end
- Remove garlic and serve
