Baked Black Kale Chips
Baked black kale chips are a light and crunchy snack, simple and nutritious. Oven-baked with olive oil, the leaves become crisp and flavourful, perfect as a healthy alternative to traditional chips.
Ingredients
- 200 g black kale
- 20 ml extra virgin olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper optional
How to Make It
- Wash the kale and dry thoroughly
- Remove tough stems
- Tear leaves into bite-size pieces
- Place in a bowl and drizzle with olive oil
- Massage gently to coat evenly
- Arrange on a baking tray in a single layer
- Season with salt and pepper
- Bake at 180°C for about 12 to 15 minutes
- Cook until crisp but not browned
- Let cool slightly before serving

- Dry kale well before baking
- Do not overcrowd the tray
- Massage oil evenly
- Watch carefully to avoid burning
